Six ranks. One pack.
A scout joins the den for their current grade and earns that year's adventures. They do not go backward. Bobcat — the first badge — is earned as they learn the Scout Oath, Law, sign, handshake, and salute.

Kindergarten · First steps
Lion
A gentle on-ramp. Lions come with an adult partner to every den meeting and try Cub Scouting together.

1st Grade · Explore
Tiger
Tigers start ranging a little farther — family adventures, backyard science, and their first real campfire.

2nd Grade · Skills
Wolf
Wolves pick up real skills: knots, first aid basics, cooking over a fire, and looking out for a buddy.
- More independence, still plenty of family time
- Outdoor skills you can actually use on a trail
- Service projects the den can see through

3rd Grade · Confidence
Bear
Bears take on bigger adventures — overnight camping, tool safety, and leading a piece of the den meeting.

Webelos
We'll Be Loyal Scouts. Webelos start practicing the patrol style they'll use in a Scout troop.
