A bring-a-friend overnight at the Nature Center — outdoor skills, first aid, and the first campout that makes new scouts feel in.

Trail's End popcorn
Our primary fall fundraiser. Scouts sell Trail's End popcorn so the pack can run derbies, camp, and the lock-in without passing a hat every month.

Community Center lock-in
An overnight in town: swimming, a movie, pizza and ice cream, games until the gym lights feel like camp. Parents stay. Kids remember it.

Klondike Derby
Sleds, winter skills, and dens working as a team in the cold. Housatonic's Klondike is the event older scouts talk about all year.

Pinewood Derby
Carve, paint, race. Grandparents show up. The gym gets loud. It is the night everyone remembers.

Cub Day Camp
A week of archery, BB guns, crafts, and swimming without an overnight. Day camp is how Lions and Tigers get a full camp day and still sleep at home.

Cub Scout summer camp
Edmund D. Strang Scout Reservation. A 3-day or 6-day cub experience — lake, ranges, campfire, canvas. The week that turns 'we might try this' into 'we're in.'
The loudest night
Pinewood Derby
Kids carve a block of pine. Then the gym becomes a racetrack. Click race — this is the loudest night on our calendar.

Shelton Community Center
Swimming, a movie, pizza and ice cream, games. Our winter overnight without leaving town.

Crazy Cub in the fall and Klondike in the winter. Housatonic dens from Shelton, Derby, Ansonia, Seymour, and Oxford.

Camp Strang
Edmund D. Strang Scout Reservation in Goshen. Cub day camp, a 3-day or 6-day summer week, and weekend programs on the lake.
