September · Shelton
Join Night & first dens
Meet the pack, find a den, and take a first hike before the leaves turn.
Pack 28 calendar
Dens meet twice a month. The pack meets once. These are the nights and miles that make a Shelton scout year feel like a year.

September · Shelton
Meet the pack, find a den, and take a first hike before the leaves turn.

October · Indian Well State Park
Our biggest fundraiser, plus a waterfall walk along the Housatonic.

November · Shelton neighborhoods
Scouts collect donations for local pantries. Service is not an extra — it is the program.

December · Pack meeting
STEM nights, holiday service, and dens that still meet when it's dark at 4:30.

January · Shelton
Carve, paint, race. Grandparents show up. The gym gets loud. It is the night everyone remembers.

February · Pack banquet
Cub Scouting's birthday party. Ranks, awards, and a room full of families who made the year happen.

March · Recreation Path
Easy miles on the Rec Path and the reservoirs — map, compass, and a snack at the dam.

April · Camp Strang, Goshen
Tents, a lake, and a first overnight for new Lions. No one is expected to already know how.

May · Downtown Shelton
Pack 28 marches. Uniforms, flags, and a civic morning the town actually shows up for.

June · Shelton + council camps
Close the year with a picnic, then send scouts to day camp if they want a bigger week.
January, every year
Kids carve a block of pine. Then the gym becomes a racetrack. Click race — this is the loudest night on our calendar.

Waterfall & river
A short walk to a cascade on the Housatonic — first hikes, picnic tables, and a real sense of place.
Easy miles
Reservoirs, boardwalk, and a path that works for Lions and Arrow of Light scouts alike.
A climb
A steeper Shelton trail for older dens who want a view of the valley.
Overnight
The district's camp in Goshen. Canvas, a lake, and the overnight that turns 'I might try this' into 'we're in.'
